Fifteen very excited Key Stage One pupils joined by Mrs Geran and Mrs Linehan attended the summer Active Kids festivals hosted at Alive Lynnsport this week.
The theme for this festival was the Paris Olympics and activity stations revolved around sports that students will be able to watch and support in the summer. These were: hockey, football, badminton, tennis, athletics and volleyball. The festival was supported by sports leaders from Springwood High School who spent short bursts of time introducing KS1 students to their activities.
The Active Kids programme is also designed to upskill staff attending and introduce KS1 students to activities they can then replicate back at school or take up at a local club following the Inspire a Generation mantra and was wonderful for our children and staff to be an active part of. Well done everyone!
