This week our many of our Year 4 pupils took part in Norfolk County Council’s Level 1 Bikeability course. We were extremely proud to award all participants with their badges and certificates in our special celebration assembly. The feedback from the instructors was that our children’s attitude and behaviour was exemplary!
Bikeability Level 1 is a cycle training program that teaches children how to ride a bike with confidence.
The course covers the following skills:
• Maintenance: How to keep a bike in good condition and make simple repairs
• Control: How to start, cruise, slow down, brake, and stop
• Pedalling: How to pedal without feeling out of control
• Awareness: How to look behind and turn around obstacles
• Preparation: How to prepare for a ride
