I am immensely proud to be the Principal at Upwell and to lead such a forward-thinking and aspirational Team.
Through our guiding Values to Transform, Empower, Achieve, Motivate, Care and Enjoy, we relentlessly strive to ensure that every child aspires to be the very best that they can be. Our aspiration for excellence in all areas is strong and our dedication to developing each child beyond the classroom and to offer them opportunities to apply their learning in real life situations is paramount to developing the knowledge and skills that enable our children to be resilient, be leaders and be active participants in their future.
Since March 2017, Upwell Academy has had its ethos embedded in the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust's Core Vision and Values. We believe in developing ‘the whole child’ and ensure high expectations for social, emotional, physical, moral, cultural and academic growth. It is important to us that the children at Upwell Academy are determined and believe in their abilities to succeed, whilst not being afraid to make a mistake or ‘have another go’.
There are many opportunities for parents and carers to support the learning at Upwell Academy and we embrace the value of working closely with parents and the local community to uphold the collegiate approach that leads to successful, life-long learning and positive outcomes for our children. In a recent parent survey, 100% of parents who responded said that they would recommend Upwell Academy to other parents.

Our attendance for the school year 2022/2023 was above the national average at 95.98% with our persistent absence below the national average at 7.6%. Well done to all our families!
