    Today, the Wonder Dome Planetarium came to visit Reception, Year 2 and Year 5! We had an amazing time being space explorers. The planetarium show took us on a tour of the solar system starts the journey of exploration. We learn about the International Space Station, the Moon, the planets in our solar system, the Milky Way and the Galaxy.

    On Wednesday 12th March year 4 had a Crafty Cuppa. Over 20 adults attended and we received very positive feedback. Mrs Fisher read the story ‘On the Way Home’ by Jill Murphy.

    The children had a wonderful time participating in a netball competition this week. 12 children took part and had a great time developing their skills they had previously learnt across PE and attending our after school netball club.

  • World Book Day

    Our annual celebration took place on Thursday, March 6, after a special assembly led by Mrs Fisher, our English Lead our children spent the day enjoying curriculum linked workshops across the school led by our class teachers. This year’s theme at Upwell was ‘Fables’ and worked well with the National theme of ‘Read Your Way’ which aims to encourage children to see reading as a fun activity, rather than something they have to do as part of their school studies.
