Following a year of implementing our NCC Active and Safe Travel program, we exited to share that we have been successful in our bid for the Norfolk County Council’s £5000 grant to support the next phase of the initiative!
Last year, with the support of King’s Lynn Police, our Pupil Leadership Team led on the initiative which included promotion and debate through assemblies, class discussions, NCC Bikeability scheme, poster making and more.
A large number of our pupils’ scoot to school. The next phase of the scheme is designed to encourage pupils to adopt more sustainable modes of transport, reducing traffic congestion and contributing to a healthier environment. It will not only promote healthier lifestyles but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability and road safety.
We are also pleased to announce that our pupil ambassadors will submit an application for the Good Level Modeshift STARS accreditation. This prestigious recognition celebrates schools’ commitment to promoting sustainable travel within the school community and highlights our participation in the National School Travel Awards and our dedication to sustainable travel.
Our children are eager to share their plans for Walk or Wheel to School's week commencing soon and equally to share this year's plans too! Thank you to everyone for your contribution and our current success!
